Japanese Restaurant Kobe has been an establishment in Maastricht for over 30 years. We have a clear vision statement starting from day one; “We want to give our guests an authentic experience in Japanese cuisine”. We do this by offering only the freshest seasonal ingredients, highlighting the clean and healthy taste of Japan.
We hire only highly experienced teppanyaki chefs or are trained in house by experienced Japanese teppanyaki and sushi chefs to ensure the quality of cooking. Of course every chef has their own unique style of cooking, but the authenticity and quality remains the same.

SINCE 2019 KOBE IS RUN BY LACE & EMMAN
Since 1 November 2019, Japanese Restaurant Kobe has been taken over by two young entrepreneurs. Brother and sister, who have been a part of Team Kobe for 8 and 5 years respectively. Emman is a teppanyaki chef and Lace the hostess.Together they have experienced the ins and outs of the restaurant for years.
For them the vision remains the same. But modernize it a bit, and to keep improving it. There are two important elements that have their highest priority. To maintain and elevate the quality of the food and experience.
"When you come into our restaurant, we want you to feel at home and relaxed. Enjoy the teppanyaki show and have a chat with the teppanchef, watch how skillfully he/she makes the dishes. Enjoy food and drinks and enjoy the company you are with. If you want to see our sushi chef in action, you can sit at the sushi bar. And for an intimate evening with just your partner, friends and family you can choose a separate table."
